Terms of use
The short version: HomePlanner is general information and estimates, not advice. Be honest, be decent, and check the figures before you act on them.
1These terms
These terms apply to homeplanner.io, rates.homeplanner.io, the HomePlanner app and the Ultimate HomeBuyers Guide (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
2What HomePlanner is, and isn't
HomePlanner is a guide, a set of planning tools and a marketplace. It is general information and estimates, prepared without regard to your personal circumstances. It is not financial, credit, legal or tax advice, and we are not a lender, a broker or an adviser.
Calculators use the assumptions shown on the page and the figures you enter. Rates on the site come from lenders' own published data under the Consumer Data Right and can be out of date or wrong; the lender's own website and your loan contract are the record. Before you act on anything here, check the figures and consider getting advice from a licensed professional.
3Your account
- You must be at least 18 and give accurate information.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
- One account per person. Broker and partner accounts are for the business that registered them.
- You can close your account at any time from your profile.
4Acceptable use
- Don't use the service for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass or deceive anyone.
- Don't scrape, copy or resell the service or its data, and don't try to get around access controls or rate limits. The rates API has its own key and terms.
- Don't upload anything you don't have the right to upload.
5The marketplace
Partners on the marketplace are independent businesses. We check their licences and registrations and set disclosure standards, but we don't provide their services and we're not a party to your engagement with them. Any offer a partner makes to HomePlanner buyers is the partner's offer. If a partner falls short of our standards, tell us and we will look into it.
6The guide and our content
The guide is free to read and share. You may quote it with a link back to the page. You may not republish it in full, sell it, or present it as your own. The HomePlanner name and the house-H mark are ours.
7Availability and changes
We work to keep the service up and accurate, but it is provided as is. We may change or withdraw features, and we may change these terms; if a change matters we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
8Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from your reliance on estimates, third-party data or a partner's services, and our liability to you for anything else is limited to resupplying the service.
9Law and contact
These terms are governed by Australian law. Questions go to welcome@homeplanner.io.
